Annette had arranged a day out to Cambridge, so off we went on Saturday, 25th November. Bright and early, wrapped up in sufficient layers, coffee and breakfast packed, we went via train to this university town.

During the morning, we had glorious weather - perfectly blue sky and not too cold even! One of our first stops was King's College and the chapel. Amazingly detailed and so old! We were in awe quite a few times.
Here you can see Annette striking a pose, and Thinus observing the crazy girls! This was in a little lane outside Trinity College. The door had fascinated us, and of course we had to act the tourist part!
We also went in to see Trinity College, as well as walk through the Backs (the grass area behind some of the colleges, where the river runs through). Unfortunately, as we were about to enter the tree lined road, it started to rain. And boy, did it rain! For the next 2 hours were just decided that we may as well continue and see the rest of Cambridge - rain or not! Which just meant that we were completely soaked by the end of it!We also found a chocolate shop - yummy! And of course couldn't resist them! So here all happy with our new purchase - which had to be tested straight away!
