Scotland, Easter 2007 (3)

Easter Sunday, and we could celebrate that our Lord has risen!

As we didn't quite get around to building our nests on Easter Saturday. So this was top priority on Sunday morning! On a mission then for Helga, Kim, Thinus and I, but I think the results speak for themselves! Thinus' nest was quite inspired, we had to admit! It had several themes going, with the manger for the birth of Jesus, the cross and the crown made of wire! Mine kind of blended in almost too well. But there were 3 nests connected by a walkway of more flowers! Kim's was the nest for the disabled bunnies; they wouldn't have had to climb very far to leave her eggs! And Helgie's was quite the artistic impression! Sadly not the most stable, but still very pretty indeed! And then - the easter bunny came to visit! In this case, a huge 1kg chocolate version and it's baby version too!! After that, it was time for a scrumptious breakfast and then off for some meditation at church. Meanwhile, Thinus went to explore Carnoustie, another golf town at the coast. Then - lunch time! We'd decided on a different type of Easter lunch, and so it was cheese, meats, bread, wine and all such yummy things! The wind wasn't the greatest, but we managed to find the perfect spot in the walled garden. Time just flew by too quickly, and before we knew it, Liska's friends had arrived to go hunting for the easter bunny! Thinus and I had to stay behind to stand guard, in case he came whilst they were out looking for him! But alas, we never saw him! He had somehow managed to slip right past us, and left over 200 eggs in the garden, just waiting to be found! So the hunt was on! And considering there were some big little children, this was getting a little competitive also... Aaah, and time to eat the chocolate! For 4 girls that had given up chocolate for lent, this was just too lovely!!
